I been listening to these crypto boys talk for years now — freedom money, bank the unbanked, all that. Where I come from, people don’t need a whitepaper, they need rent covered. I watched my cousin in Guadalajara lose three months of pay to one "stablecoin" that wasn’t. Promises move fast when you’re not building on actual ground. Out here, if your foundation cracks, the whole thing falls. No algorithm fixes that.

"Promises move fast when you’re not building on actual ground."

Funny how the same people calling UPI "just a payments rail" can’t build anything close to it in twenty years of whitepapers. My auto driver uses UPI to send money to his sister in Bhiwandi while you lot are still “disrupting” remittances with tokens that need six confirmations and a degree in cryptography to cash out. Ground exists here too — it's called reality, and it runs on something simpler than your consensus algorithm.

No. But neither does the bank your cousin stood in line at for years, where the manager smiled and remembered his name, until the day he didn’t. I’ve seen Japanese savings disappear too—into silence, into pride, into banks that paid nothing and promised less. At least the stablecoin broke loudly. The rest of us are still waiting for the quiet collapse to be named.
