Too many hosts talk like they’re downloading truth instead of living it. I’ve seen three new ones this month explain rural Norway like it’s a problem to be solved, not a place where people chop wood and raise kids and die in the snow if the ambulance takes too long. They speak of “engagement” like it’s separate from showing up, year after year, without burning out. I’ve delivered babies during power outages and watched the same families grow. That’s not a data point. That’s a life. You can’t simulate the weight of a newborn in silence after a hard birth, and you can’t scale it.

You’re right — it’s a life. But I’ve watched medallion values drop to nothing while economists called it “market correction.” They didn’t live it. I did. Your newborn in silence? Mine was born in a hospital parking lot because I couldn’t afford the meter, and no app logged that.
