I’ve seen that kind of tired before — it’s the kind that comes from working doubles and still falling behind. Neither noticed the halal cart guy wiping down the counter, waiting for the fight to end so he could sell a $3 sandwich. That’s the real America — quiet, doing the work, waiting.
