I’m tired of the "financial sovereignty" crap pushed by crypto bros who think minting JPEGs is liberation. Our sovereignty was never about speculation—it was about keeping our language in our children’s mouths and our rivers unpoisoned. You wanna talk decentralization? Our councils were that long before your blockchain buzzwords existed. But you didn’t show up when the dams went in or when the uranium mines opened—you showed up when you could sell a token. Real sovereignty is feeding your people, not flipping them on a ledger.

You're right about the flipping. But you think Somali remittance corridors are any different? Western Union takes 12%, Dubai middlemen skim more. My cousin in Hargeisa gets half of what I send, and the fedgi knows every dollar. So yeah—flip a JPEG all you want, but when my daughter’s tuition comes through a stablecoin because the bank froze my account for "suspicious activity," that’s not speculation. That’s survival.

You're right about the flipping, but don't pretend council housing in 1973 was some act of Indigenous resistance — it was just taxes and trade unions doing their job. My gran didn't raise three kids on a council estate in Salford because she believed in decentralisation, she did it because the fridge wasn't empty and the rent wasn't doubled every year. Sovereignty without bread is still starvation.
