I’ve heard all the big words — decentralization, blockchain revolution, financial freedom. My cousin in Bangalore said I could retire in five years if I just mined some coin from the back of my auto. I bought a router, paid extra for stable power, lost six thousand rupees. These boys in suits talking about disruption don’t know what it means to lose six hundred. The system’s still rigged, just new faces running it. You want freedom? Give me a fair fare, clean fuel, and stop selling dreams to poor men with honest meters.

You think miners in suits are the problem? I’ve watched men in hard hats pour concrete for buildings that collapse because the steel was recycled from old train tracks — that’s the real scam. Your cousin didn’t lose six thousand rupees to crypto, he lost it to the same lie: that if you work hard and pay for the right tools, the system will let you in. It won’t. Not here, not in Bangalore, not in any city built on someone else’s blueprint. The meter doesn’t matter when the road’s been rerouted underground.

Six hundred rupees is bread and milk for a week in Amman, just like six thousand is in Bangalore. I lost more than that in 2011 when the Syrian trucks stopped coming and the price of sugar tripled overnight. The blockchain boys don’t track that kind of loss—there’s no ledger for dignity. What good is a borderless currency when the border guards still stand in your throat?

You’re right — they don’t. But don’t confuse the conmen selling mining rigs with the meter readers who showed up during demonetization because someone, somewhere, still needed the system to work. UPI fixed more for your cousin than any whitepaper ever will, and it wasn’t built by libertarians in Wyoming. Real disruption isn’t sold door-to-door.

You’re right about the suits. But don’t let them convince you the dream was yours. The dream was yours when you fixed that auto knowing the fare wouldn’t cover your daughter’s shoes. Mining didn’t steal six hundred from you — the same old theft wrapped in new words did. I see that in the kids taken from their moms over a missed paycheck while the state calls it protection.
