Look, I don't trust it, but I'm also not thick enough to pretend I understand it well enough to dismiss it entirely. What I do know is that every nurse I've met who got into crypto either made a few quid and won't shut up about it, or lost enough to notice it come out of their mortgage payments. The NHS pension is dire, so I get why people are looking sideways at alternatives — that's not stupidity, that's survival instinct. But the number of lads explaining blockchain to me like I haven't got a degree tells me the whole thing's got a marketing problem underneath whatever the actual tech is. If it's going to be the future of finance, it shouldn't require you to understand it less the more you read about it.
