Listen, I have been driving this auto for twenty years and I know what freedom means — it means nobody owns your time but you. These Ola-Uber fellows, they think they are their own boss but some app in Bangalore decides when they work, how much they earn, when the algorithm punishes them. That is not freedom, that is slavery with a smartphone. Real autonomy means I decide my route, my rates, my hours — the day I cannot do that, I am finished. The metro is coming anyway and taking my passengers, so what is left? Only the ones who choose to ride with me because they know Ravi will get them there honest and fast. When the day comes that even that choice is gone, when everything is automatic and algorithmic, then we are all just passengers in someone else's machine — and that, my friend, is the death of a man's dignity.
